Teenage Fanclub Share "There Was You" Ahead of New Album This October

Scottish indie rock veterans Teenage Fanclub have released a new single, "There Was You," the latest preview track from their upcoming album Do Not Dare To Dream. The album is confirmed for release on Friday, October 9, 2026 via Merge Records, and is now available for pre-order — the band has pointed fans to the link in their social media bio, or to local record shops. "There Was You" was written by Norman Blake.

Recording and Credits

Do Not Dare To Dream was self-produced by Teenage Fanclub. The full-band instrumental tracks were recorded at Black Bay Studio in Great Bernera, with engineering there handled by Cal Roden, David Henderson, and Pete Fletcher. Vocals were recorded in Glasgow, where mixing and mastering were also completed by Dexter George. Album artwork is by H. Hawkline.
