Jarasum Jazz Festival Adds Tigran Hamasyan, Four Others to Final Lineup

Published ·

South Korea's Jarasum Jazz Festival (자라섬 재즈 페스티벌), now in its 23rd year, has announced a second batch of acts — billed as "New Artists: Part 2" — for its final lineup. The five additions span Armenia, South Korea, Spain and Australia. Organizers have confirmed the festival will return to Jarasum island this autumn, but have not yet released exact dates or ticketing details.

Who's on the new list

What the lineup tells us so far

This second wave joins acts already announced earlier as part of the festival's final lineup. Three of the five acts come from outside Korea — Spain and Australia among them — while JSFA and Ritual Diamonds involve Korean musicians, with Ritual Diamonds specifically framed as a Korea-Australia collaboration. Instrumentally, the batch ranges from solo piano and jazz-funk to a marimba-and-strings trio and a percussion-and-bass-driven experimental act, rather than clustering around one jazz subgenre.

What hasn't been announced yet

Organizers have not released the festival's exact dates, ticket prices, or an on-sale link.
