Bangkok's Four-Day Run: Poetry, Cuban Nights, Stand-Up and Local Hip-Hop (Aug 27-30)

Bangkok has four distinct events running on four consecutive nights, Thursday August 27 through Sunday August 30, 2026: a free poetry open mic on a skyscraper floor, a Cuban-themed carnival night, an international stand-up special, and a local hip-hop showcase. The lineup spans four venues — The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon, Havana Social, Lancaster Bangkok and Speakerbox — with prices ranging from free entry to ฿1,400 and up. The details below were compiled and published by Bangkok-focused account @onlyinbangkok.

The four events

The Poet Parlor

Carnaval de La Habana

Dr Jason Leong: In Laughing Memory

Street Sounds Vol. 2: ทองหล่อ FLOW

How the four nights differ

The four events sit in four different corners of Bangkok's nightlife scene. Thursday's poetry night is a listening-room affair set on a high floor of a skyscraper. Friday's Havana Social night centers on a live band and dance rather than a standard club set.

Saturday's Dr Jason Leong show is the only internationally touring production of the four, and also the priciest and closest to selling out. Sunday's Street Sounds Vol. 2 focuses on local Bangkok hip-hop artists, with a ฿200 presale price — the lowest of the four — and a 20-and-over entry restriction.
