Harry Styles Jokes About Taylor Swift's Wedding During MSG Residency
Harry Styles took a moment during his August 29 show at New York's Madison Square Garden to poke fun at a very specific coincidence. Telling the crowd, "We're at Madison Square Garden, home of the world champion New York Knicks," he added: "And they also do weddings." The line referenced the fact that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were married at the same venue this past July. A fan-shot clip circulated on social media, and NME reported the remark as a nod to the coincidence.
The MSG Residency and Tour Schedule
The August 29 show was part of a 30-date residency at MSG that kicked off this week, marking the current leg's final stop on the "Together, Together" tour. Before New York, the tour ran 12 consecutive nights at London's Wembley Stadium, with additional stops in Amsterdam, São Paulo and Mexico City.

The Wembley run featured a cover of "Three Lions," a tribute to David Hockney, and callbacks to his One Direction era, with the final night bringing his sister Gemma onstage for a Pride-themed closer. That Wembley streak earned a Guinness World Record and a gold Blue Peter badge for Styles.
A History of Musical Cross-References
Styles and Swift dated briefly from 2012 to 2013, a relationship widely believed to have inspired Swift's "Out of the Woods" and "Style" from 1989. In 2017, rumors also linked Styles' "Two Ghosts" to the same period.
