Olivia Rodrigo's All-Women Charity Festival Raises $20M After Melinda French Gates Doubles Donation
Olivia Rodrigo's charity festival Daisy Chain Fields took place Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Great Park in Irvine, California. Before the show, Rodrigo had already announced $10 million raised for 10 nonprofit partners. Then Melinda French Gates walked onstage right as Rodrigo's headline set began, announcing that her organization Pivotal Ventures would match the amount with another $10 million — bringing the total to $20 million, all going toward organizations supporting women and girls, according to NME.
How the $20 million breaks down
Rodrigo revealed the first $10 million figure at a press conference on Friday, August 28, appearing alongside representatives from some of the beneficiary organizations. She thanked "every single person who bought a ticket, every artist who waived their fee," and sponsors for helping the brand-new festival hit its goal.
Gates Foundation co-founder French Gates called the 23-year-old singer "a force" and praised her for "showing a new generation how much their voice matters." She later wrote on Instagram that the impact Daisy Chain Fields kicked off "will last far beyond a single night."
All performers waived their fees, with 100% of net proceeds going to partner organizations. The 10 beneficiary organizations are:

Lineup and the Lilith Fair connection
Daisy Chain Fields drew inspiration from Lilith Fair, the festival Sarah McLachlan founded in the 1990s, with two stages running non-overlapping sets and a lineup spanning generations of women-led acts: Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Mitski, Bikini Kill, The Breeders, Garbage, Santigold, Rachel Chinouriri, and Die Spitz.
The festival also featured a "philanthropy village" where nonprofit partners presented their work, alongside community art projects and installations focused on reproductive rights, maternal health, economic independence, domestic violence prevention, and gender equality.
Rodrigo's headline set brought out Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette, and McLachlan. McLachlan joined Rodrigo for "Building A Mystery" and "Angel," both dedicated to Dolly Parton; Morissette performed "Ironic"; and Nicks closed the set with Rodrigo on Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide."
From Fund 4 Good to the Unraveled tour
Rodrigo has long championed reproductive rights advocacy, launching Fund 4 Good in 2024 to direct a portion of her Guts world tour proceeds to organizations working on reproductive healthcare access.
Her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love, came out this past June, and her Unraveled world tour kicks off next month, with dates set to reach London's The O2 in May 2027.
