Rex Orange County Debuts Unreleased Track "Elvis" at Secret London Show
British singer Rex Orange County (real name Alexander James O'Connor) played a small underplay show at Village Underground in London on Thursday, August 27, bringing out Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates as a surprise guest to debut the unreleased track "Elvis" together. According to NME, the show doubled as a warm-up for Tyler, The Creator's takeover weekend at All Points East.
"Elvis" gets its first live airing
"Elvis" opens on a single guitar riff before building into a cinematic string arrangement accented with flute. The lyrics describe a restless state of mind and a relationship marked by a desire for exclusivity, with Brendan Yates taking over vocals for the final verse.
No release date or other details for the song have been announced by Rex Orange County or his label.
All Points East: Tyler, The Creator's takeover weekend
On Friday, August 28, Tyler, The Creator headlined his own night at London's All Points East. Rex Orange County played his own set earlier in the day, then returned during Tyler's closing set to perform "Boredom," their collaboration from the 2017 album Flower Boy. A$AP Rocky also made a surprise appearance during the set.

Earlier this month, Rex Orange County released the new single "Indecision" featuring Daniel Caesar, who also appeared on the All Points East lineup for the festival's second night.
