Producer Dahi Announces Debut Solo Album 'Black Boy (Alternative)' Featuring Kendrick Lamar, Vince Staples

DJ and producer Dahi (born Dacoury Natche, formerly known as DJ Dahi) announced his debut solo album Black Boy (Alternative) on July 10, 2026, featuring Kendrick Lamar, Amber Mark, Vince Staples, Childish Gambino and Moses Sumney, according to Stereogum. Two collaborative tracks — with Childish Gambino and with Moses Sumney — are already available to stream.

From behind the boards to the spotlight

Dahi has been one of the most prolific behind-the-scenes forces in 2010s hip-hop, with production credits including Kendrick Lamar's "Money Trees," Drake's "Worst Behavior," and Big Sean's "I Don't Fuck With You." His collaborator list spans SZA, Tinashe, Madonna, Vampire Weekend, Kehlani, ScHoolboy Q, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Denzel Curry, Kali Uchis, Lykke Li, Baby Keem and Maxo Kream.

He won a Grammy for his work on 21 Savage's "A Lot" and has also been nominated for Producer of the Year. Black Boy (Alternative) marks his first full-length statement under his own name, stepping out from his usual role as producer.

Tracks released so far

Two collaborations from the album are currently available: one with Childish Gambino and one with Moses Sumney, both streaming online now. The full tracklist and release date have not yet been announced.
