Big Thief Launches Official Live Archive With 10 Full Shows

American indie band Big Thief has launched an official live recordings site called Big Thief Live Archive, at archive.bigthief.net. The band says the site is meant to let listeners explore the range and variation across its live history one show at a time. Ten complete performances are available at launch.
Who made the recordings
All the recordings are captured live. Front-of-house engineer Alice Wilder and monitor engineer Aleda Deroche recorded the shows, and the mixes were done by Fabian Prynn, an in-house engineer at the band's label 4AD.

A show-by-show archive, not a highlights reel
Unlike a singles release or a curated live video, Big Thief Live Archive presents full shows as its basic unit, emphasizing how the same song can be arranged and played differently from night to night. Big Thief has long been known for its live sets diverging sharply from studio recordings, and fans routinely compare how songs mutate over the course of a tour.
The announcement was relayed via a social media post from BrooklynVegan. For additional shows as they're added and further updates, check archive.bigthief.net and the band's official accounts.
