Queens of the Stone Age Set October 30, 2026 Release for New Album 'Perfecth'

Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA) will release a new album titled Perfecth on October 30, 2026 (a Friday) through Matador Records. Tied to the release, Italian music magazine Rumore has put frontman Josh Homme on the cover of its October issue (#417), featuring an exclusive interview conducted in Milan. That issue is already on sale in print and online.

Release details

The Rumore cover story: from Milan to the Paris catacombs

The interview was written by journalist Nicholas David Altea, with photography by Ross Halfin, a veteran rock photographer. The conversation took place in Milan — according to Rumore, the same city where, two years earlier, Homme went through one of the tightest and most difficult stretches of his career.

That period eventually led to the band's documentary Alive In The Catacombs, filmed in Paris. Rumore describes the interview as ranging across music, life, death, pain and rebirth, with "rebirth" serving as the central concept of this cover story.

Homme's musical career spans Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and several side projects. Rumore compares his face to a cross-section of American Western desert rock formations, mirroring the musical textures he has carved out over the years.
