Taipei Jazz Festival's 'Jazz Right Here' Club Series Kicks Off Sept 6 Across 12 Venues
The 2026 Taipei Jazz Festival has announced a new series called Jazz Right Here (感爵夜現場), running for five consecutive weeks from Sunday, September 6 through October 1. Rather than a single outdoor stage, the festival is spreading indoor performances across 12 well-known jazz venues in Taipei, framed by organizers as a citywide "jazz night map."
What's been announced so far
The opening night on September 6 at Sounds Good features a duo set from HK-based musician Zhuang Xuan-wei with Xie Jia-qing, plus a set billed as "Jazz G3." Only a handful of dates have full lineups and pricing confirmed:
- 9/6 (Sun), 19:00 — Sounds Good — Zhuang Xuan-wei (HK) w. Xie Jia-qing duo, Jazz G3 — NT$600
- 9/9 (Wed), 21:00 — Oldie Goodie — Gu Hao & Bonjour Band — NT$500 (includes one drink)
- 9/10 (Thu), 19:30 — Rhythmscape — B3 Sylvia (HK) w. Wei Yu-xiang duo, Lin Liang-yu quintet — NT$500 (includes one drink)
- 9/15 (Tue), 20:00 — Vinyl Decision — lineup and ticket price not yet announced
The remaining dates and full list of participating venues have not yet been released by organizers.
What's not confirmed yet
Beyond the four dates above, the source does not specify the rest of the five-week schedule, which of the 12 venues will host later shows, or pricing for sessions still to be announced. Anyone planning to attend multiple nights should watch for further lineup drops.
A 20th-anniversary perk
To mark the festival's 20th anniversary, organizers are offering a limited-edition metal badge to attendees of Jazz Right Here events. Redemption details have not yet been published and are expected in a future announcement.
Why the format shift matters
Where past editions of the festival centered on outdoor stages, this year's approach disperses programming into jazz venues around the city over five weeks, with each show ticketed separately. Prices for the announced dates run NT$500–600, with some venues bundling a drink into the ticket.
