Wasia Project Share Club-Leaning 'Vogue' Ahead of Debut Album 'Nocturne'
British brother-sister duo Wasia Project (Will Gao and Olivia Hardy) have released a new single, "Vogue," the latest preview track from their debut album Nocturne. The album arrives September 18 via AWAL, following earlier singles "2515," "Bleeding Gold" and "Whale Call." "Vogue" marks a shift away from the jazz-pop tag the duo has often been filed under, leaning instead into club-style beats. According to NME, the pair have described the track as centered on the anticipation of a night out and the feeling of being completely consumed by someone, with an obsessive undertone running through it.

Tour dates
The Nocturne tour kicks off this November with five UK dates, including its largest stop at London's Roundhouse, before moving on to four dates across continental Europe.

Moving past the jazz-pop label
Since their 2023 NME cover interview, Wasia Project have repeatedly pushed back against being boxed in as jazz-pop. Hardy said at the time that what drives them is a constant desire to reinvent themselves, do what feels right in the moment, and stay excited about where their sound can go next.
"Vogue"'s club-facing production can be read as an extension of that instinct — a move from piano-and-vocal-led arrangements toward beat- and space-driven production. The debut album Nocturne should give the fullest picture yet of this new direction.
