Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX 2026: First Names Announced

Pitchfork announced part of the lineup for Pitchfork Music Festival CDMX 2026 on August 24, 2026. This is the Mexico City edition of Pitchfork's own festival brand, part of the same series that runs in Chicago, London and Berlin. The names called out in the announcement are experimental guitarist and composer Wendy Eisenberg, electronic producer Safety Trance, and DJ/producer Tygapaw.

Who's confirmed so far

Day-by-day stage splits, set times, and how the rest of the bill will be ordered have not been announced by organizers.

What we know so far

Why it matters

Pitchfork Music Festival has run out of Chicago's Union Park since 2006, later expanding into overseas editions in London, Paris, Berlin and Mexico City. The curation leans independent, experimental and electronic, and the festival footprint tends to be smaller than major mainstream fests. This early announcement keeps that identity intact — built around experimental instrumentalists and club music rather than headline pop names.
