Billed as the "yangfu launch event," the show celebrates the opening of a new location of select shop yangfu, co-organized by yangfu and Asian indie label BIG ROMANTIC RECORDS. yangfu is targeting a mid-September opening for its new location, which is why the show details are being announced ahead of that. A separate pop-up runs concurrently. Asian indie label BIG ROMANTIC RECORDS will set up inside yangfu (Akane Building) from September 9 to September 20, selling its own merchandise, apparel, and a curated selection of Asian indie records, including rare items.
BIG ROMANTIC RECORDS is a label founded by booking agency Romantic Studio (Tokyo/Taipei), covering both mainstream and independent Asian music and connecting scenes across Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Indonesia. Organizers say a talk event digging into the practicalities of touring Asia is also planned during the pop-up period, with details to be announced later.
