Oasis Eyeing 2027 UK/Europe Tour: 12-Night Manchester Residency, Possible Knebworth Return

According to a July 2026 report from Manchester Evening News, Oasis is preparing a large-scale UK and European tour for 2027. The core plan reportedly includes a residency of up to 12 shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, plus a possible return to Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire. Nothing has been officially confirmed.
The Manchester residency rumor
Manchester Evening News cites multiple sources "close to the stadium" as saying Oasis is in talks to take over Etihad Stadium — the home ground of Manchester City, the football club supported by Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher — for 12 shows, with some reports suggesting the number could rise to as many as 20. Since reopening its concert business this summer, Etihad has already hosted major shows by The Weeknd and Take That.
If confirmed, the residency is expected to take place between May and June 2027 (to fit around Manchester City's football schedule, with the team's last home match of the season on 23 May 2027), with tickets expected to go on sale this summer.
Separately, Dublin media outlet Dublin Live reports that Oasis is also considering a return to Slane Castle in 2027 — following their 1995 appearance supporting R.E.M. and their 2009 headline show there. Bookmaker Ladbrokes currently has odds of 2/1 on a Slane Castle show, with Glastonbury 2027 headliner odds also at 2/1.
Knebworth's 30th anniversary
2026 marks the 30th anniversary of Oasis's legendary Knebworth shows. The two nights in 1996 drew 250,000 fans, with an estimated 2.6 million people trying to get tickets — equivalent to 5% of the UK's total population — with demand reportedly high enough to have sold out 20 shows. Oasis later released a live album from the shows and, in 2021, a documentary that became the UK's highest-grossing documentary film of that year.
Liam Gallagher played two solo shows at Knebworth in 2022, drawing a combined audience of around 170,000. Since 2025, rumors of a return to Knebworth have surfaced repeatedly, including a claim last October by House of Lords member Lady Taylor of Stevenage, who said in a parliamentary session that Oasis would play five anniversary shows there in 2026 — a claim she later retracted.
Documentary: Don't Look Back In Anger
Marking the one-year anniversary of the "Live '25" tour, Oasis released the first trailer for their tour documentary, Don't Look Back In Anger, directed by Steven Knight. The film is set to release in cinemas and IMAX on 11 September 2026, followed by a global streaming release later in 2026 on Disney+ and Hulu.
