Taeko Onuki and City Pop
Taeko Onuki has been active since the 1970s and is considered one of the foundational figures of Japan's City Pop and urban pop movement, known for intricate arrangements and a distinctive vocal style. Her collaborations with artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto and Tatsuro Yamashita marked key moments in her career. As City Pop has seen a resurgence in international interest in recent years, she has drawn a growing audience of new, younger listeners. This will be her first performance in Taiwan.
