Nate Sib Lands NME's The Cover, Shares Personal Playlist 'Loveliife<3'

Rising American pop artist Nate Sib is the subject of NME's The Cover for the week of August 10, 2026, in a feature written by David Renshaw with photography by Chessa Subbiondo. NME publishes 50 The Cover features each year, spotlighting emerging artists from around the world.

To mark the feature, Sib curated a personal playlist titled 'Loveliife<3', released simultaneously on Spotify and Apple Music. Confirmed tracks on the playlist include Calvin Harris's 'I'm Not Alone' (MPH remix), Frank Ocean's 'White Ferrari' (2016), and Justin Bieber's 'What Do You Mean?'

Debut Album Reborn and Ryan Tedder

Sib previously released two EPs, 'For You' in 2024 and 'For Us' last year, emerging from a generation shaped by SoundCloud rap and EDM. NME describes him as a pop star from the internet's underground scene, with electronic-pop artist 2hollis regarded as a spiritual predecessor. Sib calls his sound 'distorted fun.'

His debut album Reborn continues that sonic direction. Lead single 'Face Card' leans into loverboy territory, forming the album's first half alongside the previously released 'Let You Go.' Later in the tracklist, the arrangements grow more restrained, with songs like 'Too' and 'It Ain't Easy' pushing the vocals to the forefront.

Alongside regular collaborators Jonah Abraham and Billy Walsh, the album also features contributions from OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who has written songs for Adele, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé. On this seemingly unlikely pairing, Sib told NME that Tedder was already a listener of his music and could immediately grasp what he was going for, quickly identifying a hook after just one listen and building on it.
