A Burt Bacharach tribute compilation credited to Jim O'Rourke, titled All Kinds of People ~love Burt Bacharach~, is coming to cassette tape. The Japanese release date is set for November 14, 2026 (Saturday), under catalog number DDTB-13003 on the label B.J.L.×AWDR/LR2.

What's on it

The compilation runs 11 tracks, each a different artist's take on a Bacharach composition. The lineup spans Japanese pop, experimental and underground scenes: Haruomi Hosono, Thurston Moore, Kahimi Karie, free-jazz improviser Akira Sakata, noise/experimental artist Masaya Nakahara, and Yoshimi of OOIOO all appear. O'Rourke himself sings "Trains And Boats And Planes."
