Who's playing
FORD TRIO is described by the organizer as a band playing "Neo Thai Funk," taking a different path from Thai psychedelia rooted in Luk Thung (ลูกทุ่ง) and Molam (หมอลำ) traditions — instead folding in neo soul, alternative rock, and psychedelic textures.
Dizkar hails from Kunming, Yunnan, with roots as a hip-hop beatmaker and a deep interest in 1970s soul music. He sings in Mandarin, carving out his own take on soul, and released the widely discussed Fake Soul Music: The Album. According to the organizer, this Tokyo date will see him performing with a full band.
