Sonic Shaman Links Taipei and Switzerland for a 24-Hour Hybrid Festival

Taipei's The Sonic Shaman Festival and Lucerne's Out in the Loop Festival have announced their first collaboration: a 24-hour joint program spanning both cities on November 14 (Sat) to 15 (Sun), 2026, billed as "24hrs Hybrid Pop Cultures Festival." The Swiss leg takes place at Neubad, a cultural space in Lucerne; the Taipei venue has not yet been announced. Audiences in each city will attend in person, but both will be watching and hearing the same connected program. The announcement was made via the organizers' Instagram.
What's confirmed so far
- Dates: November 14 (Sat) - 15 (Sun), 2026, running 24 hours continuously
- Program name: 24hrs Hybrid Pop Cultures Festival
- Switzerland venue: Neubad (Lucerne)
- Taipei venue: not yet announced
- Organizers: The Sonic Shaman Festival (Taipei) and Out in the Loop Festival (Lucerne)

A shared stage setup across two cities
The technical backbone of the collaboration is that both cities will use an identical stage configuration. Real-time, life-size audio and video transmission will link the two stages, effectively extending each venue into the other for the duration of the program.
This setup is meant to allow for multiple formats within the festival, including live performances, though the full lineup and schedule have not yet been released.
Why it matters
This is the first joint effort between the two festivals: Sonic Shaman built around Taipei, and Out in the Loop a longtime fixture at Lucerne's Neubad. The time difference between Taiwan and Switzerland means the 24-hour program will fall at different local hours in each city, creating a day-and-night relay structure between the two locations. Further details on venue, ticketing, and the program will be announced by both organizers in due course.
