DJ Shlomo Booked for ADE, Jaymie Silk Questions the Lineup

Electronic musician Jaymie Silk has taken to Instagram to question why DJ Shlomo is set to perform at the Netherlands' Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in a few weeks. According to her post, the lineup — announced earlier this week — caught many off guard given ADE's stature as an event combining club sets with industry conferencing, and given the DJ's name surfaced in controversy earlier this year.
What the post alleges
Per Jaymie Silk's account, DJ Shlomo was one of the names called out earlier this year during what she describes as the techno (more specifically hard techno) scene's "MeToo moment."
She also notes that following that wave of controversy and subsequent show cancellations, a number of the named DJs went several months without public appearances. This ADE booking marks one of them reappearing on the lineup of a major international event.
ADE's standing
ADE is held annually in Amsterdam and combines nighttime performances with daytime industry conferences, giving it outsized influence in the electronic music industry. Jaymie Silk's post frames this context as the reason the lineup has drawn discussion.
