Daphni Drops Surprise 3-Track EP 'hav u a sec'
Daphni, the electronic alias of Canadian artist Dan Snaith, released a three-track EP titled hav u a sec on July 24, 2026. The EP includes 'hav u a sec,' 'Tally,' and 'Forward' — arriving just months after Daphni's last album, Butterfly.
Background
In an Instagram announcement, Snaith explained that all three tracks were written after Butterfly was finished and weren't part of the original album plans. He decided to release them early after 'hav u a sec' got a strong reaction when he tested it out live — by his account, the track may have first been played at the London underground club Corsica Studios.
The EP's artwork was shot by photographer @laura_miko and features a brown-and-white border collie on the cover. Snaith said the dog looks just like Saxon, his childhood pet.
