Billie Joe Armstrong Launches Limited Radiant Red Epiphone Guitar and Marshall's First-Ever Artist Signature Amp
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong announced two collaborative pieces of gear simultaneously on July 25, 2026: a limited-edition Radiant Red Les Paul Junior with Epiphone, and the 1959BJA Artist Signature amp head with Marshall — the latter marking Marshall's first artist signature model in 14 years.

The guitar continues the stripped-down design philosophy Armstrong has favored for more than two decades: a single-cutaway mahogany body, mahogany set neck (50s vintage profile), rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, a single Epiphone P-90 PRO pickup, and just volume and tone controls. The bridge is a nickel-plated Lightning Bar wraparound. Armstrong's signature is printed on the back of the headstock, and the guitar ships with a black hardshell case lined in leopard print.
Epiphone describes the design as "one pickup, two knobs, no distractions" punk rock. It's available through authorized Epiphone retailers worldwide, the Gibson Garage stores in London and Nashville, and Epiphone's official website, priced at approximately £489 in the UK as a limited run.
Marshall 1959BJA Artist Signature Amp
The 1959BJA is built on Marshall's hand-wired flagship 1959HW platform, incorporating the "Dookie Mod" tone modification that Armstrong and producer Rob Cavallo refined while recording Green Day's 1994 breakthrough album Dookie. The design pays tribute to Armstrong's first guitar, "Blue," featuring a baby blue shell with brass and silver panel details, and Armstrong's signature appears on both the front and back panels.
The amp head made its public debut live at Green Day's performance at the 2026 Super Bowl opening ceremony. Armstrong said: "I'm so happy to have my own Marshall signature amp. These amps have been with me since the days of my idols — turn it the fuck up!"

Earlier in July, Green Day announced that the soundtrack for their upcoming coming-of-age comedy film Nimrods will be released on July 31, featuring 22 tracks spanning their career, four previously unreleased live recordings from the Hollywood Palladium, and the new song "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P." The film itself is expected to release in August, with the band appearing as themselves.
That same month, Armstrong also performed as part of his cover band The Coverups, with both shows featuring Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson joining to cover David Bowie's "All The Young Dudes." Green Day's latest studio album, Saviors, was released in January 2024, with NME giving it four stars and calling it Green Day's best work since American Idiot.
