The band explained the backstory behind "Head to Toe" in the post: the song was written by Josephine, while Kim wanted it played at a faster tempo. Both versions ended up sticking around, and listeners can now compare the original recording directly against the version that made it onto the EP.

Label 4AD also shared a link to live performance footage, filmed at an outdoor venue in Germany, where the band tore through the song at what they called "blazing speed." The link is posted on The Breeders' official Instagram profile.
