Brandon Flowers Sets August 21 Release for Third Solo Album 'Thrasher'

The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers will release his third solo album, Thrasher, on Friday, August 21. The record draws on his childhood memories and the country music — Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings — his father played driving through rural Utah. Thrasher was recorded in Nashville, with Flowers again working alongside longtime producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. Guest players include guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton, and 85-year-old harmonica player Charlie McCoy, who played on four of Bob Dylan's Nashville-era albums.
