Bangkok Music City 2027 Reveals First Lineup: 17 Acts Set for Thailand's Showcase Festival

Thailand's showcase-style music festival Bangkok Music City (BMC) has announced the first wave of its 2027 lineup: 17 acts total, 10 of them Thai and the remaining 7 from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mongolia, Japan, the Netherlands and France's Réunion Island. The festival runs Saturday, January 30 to Sunday, January 31, 2027 in Bangkok's Charoenkrung creative district, combining concerts, showcase performances and an entertainment industry forum. The lineup was posted on the festival's official Instagram, @bangkokmusiccity.

Practical details

A festival built around two tracks

BMC runs on a dual-track format familiar from other Asian showcase events: alongside the public performances, the festival hosts an industry forum and showcase sessions aimed at labels, agents and festival bookers. That structure gives artists a shot at cross-border exposure beyond the stage itself.

The organizers' announcement credits partners including Live Nation Tero, NYLON Thailand and Thai streaming platform Fungjai. The first-wave lineup also signals the festival reaching beyond Southeast Asia into East Asia and Europe: Mitsune is a Japanese shamisen act based in Berlin, KAGAMI comes from the Netherlands, and Aurus hails from Réunion, France's overseas territory in the Indian Ocean.
