Aphex Twin Trivia Championship Returns to Tokyo for 'Drukqs' 25th Anniversary

Japanese record label Beatink has announced the second edition of its Aphex Twin Trivia Championship (エイフェックス・ツイン王決定戦), set for Thursday, November 12, 2026, starting at 20:00 at the Tower Records Shibuya store's 6F event space in Tokyo. The event ties into the 25th-anniversary reissue of Aphex Twin's (Richard D. James) 2001 album Drukqs, with the record playing in-store as the backdrop for a high-difficulty Aphex Twin trivia face-off. The reigning champion from the first edition, Murakami Kai, is confirmed to return, with radio host and musician Takano Shinya hosting. The organizers note that Aphex Twin himself will not be attending.
