The Drummer on the Debut
Drummer Dan Haggis said the band realized the debut album would turn 20 in 2027 and decided to throw a party to mark it. He described the record as a summation of the band's first four years, the stretch that took them from driving around the UK in his grandmother's car and sleeping on promoters' floors to playing world tours.
He also recalled memories from that album era including playing the Albert Hall, touring Japan, the US and Australia, and performing at Glastonbury. He said the band will perform the full album live while also picking songs from their other records, and revealed that new material is still in the works.
From 2007 to Oh! The Ocean
A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation was released in 2007 and features fan favorites including "Let's Dance to Joy Division," "Kill the Director," and "Moving to New York," selling over 400,000 copies in the UK alone.
The band has since released This Modern Glitch (2011), Glitterbug (2015), Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life (2018), and Fix Yourself, Not the World (2022). Their latest album, Oh! The Ocean, came out in February 2025 and reached No. 4 on the UK official albums chart.
