A history with Taipei
This isn't TOTORRO's first time in Taipei with PutsSound: the promoter previously brought the band to Pipe Live Music in 2017, with Taiwanese band 勝利一族 (for winners) as opener — a show that turned out to be for winners' last-ever performance. In the announcement for this new date, PutsSound included a reflection on that history written by Tseng Li, who drummed in for winners and now fronts Heat Sketch and The Waltz.
TOTORRO released new material in 2025. The promoter describes the band's live show as carrying far greater intensity than their studio recordings, which lean lighter and more accessible. Support act Elephant Gym, known for bass-driven math rock arrangements, has spent much of its recent touring time abroad.
