Violet Grohl Cancels Manchester and Glasgow Shows After Losing Her Voice
Singer-songwriter Violet Grohl has canceled two UK tour dates after losing her voice. According to NME, she posted a statement just hours before her Tuesday, August 25 show at Band On The Wall in Manchester, saying she could no longer go on. She also confirmed that Wednesday's show at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow would not happen either. The cancellations hit during a UK and European run supporting her debut album, Be Sweet To Me, released in May.
What was canceled
Grohl said in her statement that both shows will be rescheduled, and ticket holders will receive updated information directly. As of this report, no new dates have been announced.

The rest of her week stays on track
Before the cancellation news broke, Grohl's festival commitments for the week were still standing. She's set to play the Leeds leg of Reading & Leeds 2026 on Friday, August 28, and the Reading leg on Sunday, August 30. In between, she's booked for Ireland's Electric Picnic on Saturday, August 29.

Debut album and family ties
Be Sweet To Me came out in May. This spring, Grohl spoke about navigating the rock scene as a young woman, saying she doesn't particularly like male musicians her own age, and that the best advice she's received is that it's okay to say no.
Her father is Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who has said he had no idea his daughter signed a record deal until she told him over dinner — describing himself as having had "nothing to do with it," and that his daughter is entirely doing her own thing.
