Deftones Headline All Points East for Biggest UK Show of Their Career
Deftones will headline the East Stage at Outbreak x All Points East in London's Victoria Park on Sunday, August 23, 2026 — the biggest UK headline show of the Sacramento art-metal band's career. The stage holds 50,000 people. The show follows the band's February run closing out an arena tour at The O2, and marks the first day of APE 2026's opening weekend to be co-promoted with Outbreak festival. According to NME, frontman Chino Moreno spoke little between songs, letting the set move between the band's heaviest and softest material against large-scale visuals.

Other nights across APE 2026's opening weekend are headlined by Lorde, Jorja Smith and Tems. The Deftones-headlined day spans a wide range of genres, including Interpol's gothic post-punk, IDLES, JPEGMAFIA and AFI.

Deftones have picked up a new wave of attention in recent years thanks to songs like "Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)," "Sextape" and "Cherry Waves" circulating on TikTok, while their 2025 album Private Music was also well received. Attendees in the crowd included former Savages singer Jehnny Beth, Foals drummer Jack Bevan, and actor Paddy Considine, who got a White Pony tattoo during the band's last UK tour.
Interpol's New Album and Late-Night Set
After their East Stage set, Interpol played a late-night show at Village Underground to warm up for their new album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton — the band's eighth studio album, out Friday, August 28. Drummer Sam Fogarino is still recovering from spinal surgery, with Matt Barrick of The Walkmen, and Paul Banks's bandmate in MUZZ, filling in on drums. The main-stage set leaned heavily on their debut album Turn On The Bright Lights, with a set list including "Evil," "Rest My Chemistry," "The New," "Slow Hands," "PDA," and new songs "See Out Loud" and "Wings On Fire."
IDLES and Amyl & The Sniffers
Australian punk band Amyl & The Sniffers played the East Stage, with singer Amy Taylor speaking from the stage about women's safety and in support of Palestine. IDLES drew one of the biggest crowds of the whole weekend on the West Stage, in their only scheduled London show of 2026. The band opened with new song "Levitator," with frontman Joe Talbot leading the crowd in chants of "Free, free Palestine." Their set included "Levitator," "I'm Scum," "Never Fight A Man With A Perm," "Mother," "Dancer," "Danny Nedelko" and "Mr Motivator."
