Hello Mary and Bleary Eyed Members Form New Duo Trusselina, Drop Debut Double Single

Trusselina, a new duo pairing Mikaela Oppenheimer of Brooklyn emo band Hello Mary with Hayden McGarvey of Philadelphia shoegaze group Bleary Eyed, has officially introduced itself with two debut singles, "Gastro" and "Trusselina Archimboldi."

Origins and Sound

The pair met while their respective bands were on a joint tour together in 2024, and later joined forces on this new project. According to Stereogum, Trusselina's sound departs noticeably from both members' main outfits — it's neither the emo of Hello Mary nor the shoegaze textures of Bleary Eyed. The two new tracks are now streaming, offering the first real listen into what this new pairing sounds like.
