Teenage Fanclub have announced a new album, Do Not Dare To Dream, arriving October 9, 2026 (Friday) via Merge Records. Pre-orders are open now through the link in the band's official Instagram bio or via local record shops. Lead single "Day In The Sun" is out now on all major streaming platforms.
Recording and Production
The album is self-produced by the band. Core tracking took place at Black Bay Studio on the Scottish island of Great Bernera, with live instrumentation recorded by Cal Roden, David Henderson, and Pete Fletcher. Lead vocals were recorded separately in Glasgow, where mixing and mastering were also handled by Dexter George. Cover art is by H. Hawkline.
The confirmed lineup is Norman Blake (guitar, vocals), Euros Childs (keyboards, harmonies), Francis Macdonald (drums, percussion), Raymond McGinley (guitar), and David McGowan (bass). Lead single "Day In The Sun" was written by Norman Blake.
