Summer Sonic Teases Radiohead for 2027
Tokyo festival Summer Sonic has released a teaser connected to Radiohead for 2027, according to Stereogum. The tease follows the band's return to the stage in late 2025 after a seven-year absence, when they played 20 shows across major European cities in a four-night residency format. No dates, venue, or lineup details for 2027 have been announced.
How Radiohead has been touring
The band's late-2025 comeback wasn't a conventional long-haul tour. Instead, it was structured as multiple four-night residencies in a handful of major European cities, totaling 20 shows.
Guitarist Ed O'Brien, speaking while promoting his solo album Blue Morpho, said the band is inclined to stick with that model going forward — roughly 20 shows a year, each cycle hitting a different continent, starting in 2027. He later clarified that 20 shows is closer to an upper limit for a year than a fixed target.
