Asked directly about the Madonna rumors, Eavis replied it was "definitely not Madonna." She went on to say the festival has already locked in three headline acts, describing the lineup as "coming together nicely" — without disclosing who they are.

Eavis also pushed back on the broader rumor mill around Glastonbury, estimating that around 95% of reporting about the festival is inaccurate and that speculation is "almost always wrong." With headliners already confirmed, she said the team is now focused on preparing the 2027 comeback.

Names currently being floated by fans and press include Harry Styles and Sam Fender, neither of whom has previously headlined Worthy Farm. Organizers have not confirmed any official lineup.

Where the Madonna rumors came from

Part of the speculation traces back to a June interview Madonna gave to Graham Norton for a BBC special, in which she mentioned having "something bigger" planned for summer 2027 once her current touring cycle wraps. Asked whether it might happen in the UK, she only said "It could be," declining to elaborate further.

In the same interview, Madonna quoted a line suggesting that adulthood is defined by the ability to delay gratification — a remark that fueled further reading into whether she's sitting on a major announcement.

This isn't the first Glastonbury headliner rumor tied to Madonna. She was also heavily rumored for the 2024 edition, which ultimately did not happen — that year's headline slots went to Dua Lipa, SZA, and Coldplay.
