Starsailor's Love Is Here Gets 25th Anniversary Remaster, Out October 2

British band Starsailor will release a 25th anniversary edition of their debut album Love Is Here on October 2 via Parlophone. The original came out in October 2001, produced by Steve Osborne and recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales; it has sold more than 1 million copies worldwide and passed 56 million streams on Spotify. The new edition was fully remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road.

According to NME, the vinyl edition comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a colored vinyl variant for the first time. The double-CD version adds BBC live and session recordings, bonus tracks, live footage, and retrospective liner notes written by frontman James Walsh.

25th Anniversary Tour Dates

Alongside the reissue, Starsailor will play a UK/European tour performing Love Is Here in full, backed by a string arrangement conducted by Joe Duddell, who has previously worked with New Order, Elbow, James, and Richard Hawley. The tour opens at London's Palladium, heads to Bexhill and several European cities, then returns to the UK later in the month.

A Second Anniversary Reissue

Love Is Here previously received a 20th anniversary deluxe edition in 2021, featuring covers, rarities, and five re-recorded tracks. At the time, Walsh spoke to NME about the album's place in early-2000s British music and addressed the idea that the band was seen as "a stop-gap" — often viewed as filling the void before The Strokes broke through.
