Spiritbox Drop New Single "Mourning" as Biggest-Ever UK Headline Tour Kicks Off

Spiritbox have released a new single, "Mourning," their first new material since last year's second studio album, Tsunami Sea. According to NME, the track is more restrained and melodic than the band's previous work, built around sharp guitar riffs throughout. The single arrives the same week Spiritbox launch the biggest UK headline tour of their career, opening September 12 at Glasgow's SEC.

After "Tsunami Sea"

Tsunami Sea earned a four-star review from NME, which called it "awe-inspiring modern metal" and praised the band for continuing to push the boundaries of metalcore. Earlier this year, Spiritbox performed "Soft Spine" from that album on the 2026 Grammy Awards stage, marking their third Best Metal Performance nomination.

A Valorant Theme Collaboration

Vocalist Courtney LaPlante recently teamed up with Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes and producer Grabbitz on a Valorant theme song, "If The Sun Burns Out Tonight," due for release later this year to coincide with Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026. That tournament brings together the world's top 16 teams and runs September 24 to October 18 in Shanghai.

Tour Dates

The UK tour launching this week is the band's largest headline run to date, moving south from Scotland through Nottingham, Manchester and Cardiff before wrapping in London. In November, Spiritbox head to the US to support Metallica across two nights of their "No Repeat Weekend."
