Paris Club Silencio to Take Over Former Watergate Space in Berlin

Paris club Silencio is extending its footprint to Berlin. According to an announcement on its official social channels, silencio.berlin will take over the former Watergate nightclub space on the Spree river in late October, running as a limited-time residency.

What was announced

Taking over a Berlin electronic music landmark

Watergate has long been a fixture of Berlin's electronic music scene, situated on the bank of the Spree. Silencio is stepping into that space for this temporary residency, though further operational details have not been announced.

From David Lynch's Paris basement

Silencio was founded in Paris in 2011 by Arnaud Frisch. Its original space was co-designed by director David Lynch, and from the outset it was conceived not as an ordinary nightclub but as a members' venue blending performance, screenings, and creative experimentation.

Since opening, Prince, Björk, Charli XCX, and Kendrick Lamar have all performed there. Beyond music, artists and filmmakers have also used the space to test ideas outside their usual creative output.

What we don't know yet

No ticket prices, on-sale times, programming lineup, or ticketing platform have been announced for the Berlin residency. Readers interested in attending should watch Silencio's official accounts for further details.
