The Prodigy Confirmed to Headline Creamfields 2027
The Prodigy are confirmed as the first headliner announced for Creamfields 2027, the UK electronic music festival revealed on Thursday, September 10. The band will close out the APEX stage — one of the largest indoor festival stages in the world — on the night of Saturday, August 28. It's The Prodigy's first Creamfields appearance since 2013, a 14-year gap. Creamfields runs Thursday, August 26 through Sunday, August 29, 2027, at Daresbury, Cheshire, marking the festival's 30th anniversary. According to NME, organizers described the set as set to be "one of the most iconic performances" of the festival's 30th-anniversary edition.

2027 also marks the 30th anniversary of The Prodigy's third album, The Fat Of The Land (1997). Creamfields says the rest of the 2027 lineup is coming soon.
The Prodigy's recent activity
This year, The Prodigy have toured major outdoor dates as part of their "Warrior's Dance" tour, playing Manchester, Edinburgh, Milton Keynes, and Dublin, along with multiple European summer festivals. Later this month, they'll play their first New York show in 17 years.
Speaking to NME last year, band member Liam Howlett described the direction of new material as pushing beyond the group's past "evil rave" sound into what he called "fuckin' evil rave," adding that the band rethinks "how to do it better" every time they prepare a new tour. He said at the time that new music would surface the following year, though nothing has been released yet. This spring, the band released a "dirty, acid 303" remix of Sleaford Mods' "Elitest G.O.A.T." and marked the 30th anniversary of their classic single "Firestarter."

Creamfields 2026's headline lineup included Calvin Harris, Sonny Fodera, Swedish House Mafia, and Disclosure. Compared with recent years' headliners, mostly house and EDM producers, The Prodigy bring a full band lineup to the APEX stage.
