Ned Collette Shares New Single "Commandeered Parade"

Berlin-based Australian singer-songwriter Ned Collette premiered a new track, "Commandeered Parade," via Stereogum on July 21, 2026. Collette has spent decades in underground music circles, with work spanning post-rock, folk, and alt-Americana.

Background

Collette got his start fronting the instrumental post-rock band City City City before moving into singer-songwriter territory under his own name and as Ned Collette & Wirewalker. In recent years he's built close ties with Kentucky's alt-Americana scene — in 2024, Ryan Davis released Collette's album Our Other History on his own label Sophomore Lounge, earning praise from outlets including Stereogum. Will Oldham (Bonnie 'Prince' Billy) contributed liner notes for the album.

"Commandeered Parade" marks Collette's first new release since Our Other History. Full recording and release details have not yet been announced.
