Liam Gallagher Publicly Pressures Noel to Announce New Oasis Tour

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher posted on X on August 24 publicly pushing his brother Noel Gallagher to announce a new tour, writing "Ffs RKID announce the tour" and saying fans are "going mental." Rhythm guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs quickly replied in the comments, "What tour???" The exchange lands amid mounting speculation about a fresh Oasis tour, though according to Far Out Magazine, neither the band nor any promoter has made a formal announcement.

Tour rumors: a Knebworth licence and talk of 12 Etihad shows

Oasis reunited for the Oasis Live '25 tour, which launched in Cardiff in July 2025, toured globally, and wrapped in Brazil on November 23. Speculation about a follow-up tour heated up again in early August after SJM Concerts, the promoter behind the 2025 reunion tour, obtained a licence to stage a show at Knebworth.

Earlier, Manchester Evening News reported on July 3 that the band would announce a new tour "within weeks," reportedly including a run of 12 consecutive shows at Etihad Stadium in Manchester. Liam has previously discussed the nature of a potential tour on X, describing it as "the opposite of a farewell tour."

Documentary Don't Look Back In Anger hits theaters September 9

Earlier in August, Oasis released the first full trailer for the documentary Don't Look Back In Anger, which covers the band's reunion process and behind-the-scenes footage from the Oasis Live '25 tour. The film opens in theaters on September 9.

Glastonbury headline rumor denied

Separately, Liam has denied rumors that Oasis will headline Glastonbury 2027. Despite bookmakers listing the band as a favorite, he responded directly on X, "It's not happening," telling people to "calm down" about the speculation.

Festival organizer Emily Eavis earlier ruled out another rumored candidate, Madonna, saying it was "absolutely not" her, while revealing that three headliners have already been locked in and things are going well. That comment briefly pushed up bookmakers' odds on Oasis, but nothing has been confirmed.
