Lancey Foux Drops 21-Track Album The Time Of Our Lives, Just Six Months After His Last Project

London rapper Lancey Foux (real name Lance Omal, 30) has released a new 21-track album, The Time Of Our Lives, in 2026. In an interview with NME, he described the project as a "refined version" of everything he's made to date, condensing years of experimentation into a single body of work. The only guest feature on the album comes from rising South London rapper Finessekid, on the track "To The Money."

How the album came together

The new record lands just six months after First Degree: 2nd Charge, a follow-up to his 2021 mixtape that bypassed streaming platforms entirely — released exclusively through the fan-facing platform [untitled], with proceeds donated to a charity supporting independent musicians.

Both that mixtape and the new album blend freshly recorded material with older, unreleased tracks: the mixtape drew mostly from 2023 sessions, while the album leans on material from 2024. Foux told NME that "Change Your Mind" and "Naked On A Yacht" were among the first songs to take shape for the album, recorded in the summer of 2024.

He described his backlog of unreleased material as so vast that he could listen to it on a flight to Japan and still have hours of music left when he landed. Both projects were built the same way — going back through his archive and figuring out which songs fit where he is now. The album also includes tracks like "Porsche Poet" and "Seeing To It."

From underground mixtapes to now

Foux's run of underground mixtapes goes back to 2015's Pink and Teen Skum, with the single "About It" helping raise his profile. He followed those with Too Far Alive, Pink II, and 2019's Friend Or Foux.

His collaborators include longtime associate Skepta; Kanye West, who brought him in to record during the making of Donda in 2021; and Kaytranada, who produced two tracks on his 2022 album Life In Hell. On working with Finessekid, Foux said he sees himself in young Black artists coming up out of London, and feels a responsibility to support them.

What we don't know yet

The source interview doesn't detail Foux's new label venture beyond confirming it exists — only that he's currently active as a DJ and label operator alongside a five-to-six-day-a-week gym routine.
