Jenny Hval Releases Three-Track "Iris Silver Mist" Remix EP

Norwegian musician Jenny Hval has released a remix EP, Iris Silver Mist (Remixes), via the label 4AD. The three-track collection is now available on digital platforms.

What was released

The EP reworks two Hval tracks. "The Artist is Absent" gets two separate treatments — one from Felicia Atkinson, another from Julia Holter and Tashi Wada working together. "The Gift" is remixed by Elaine Howley.

Who's involved

Atkinson renamed her version of "The Artist Is Absent" to "Absences," and it opens the EP. The Holter/Wada version keeps the original title and closes out the release as the final track. Howley's remix of "The Gift" sits in the middle, as track two.
