Background
Running since 2004, Jarasum Jazz Festival is staged primarily on Jarasum Island in the Bukhan River, with performances also extending into the streets of Gapyeong town. It's one of South Korea's few large-scale jazz festivals to combine multi-day camping with town-center street performances over a continuous three-day run. Announcing dates more than a year out has become standard practice for the festival in recent years.
