Grimes Drops Trailer for Upcoming Album 'Psyopera'

Grimes has released a trailer for her next album, Psyopera. The clip is a psychedelic, futuristic montage blending animation with archival footage, and according to a roundup by The FADER, it's the most detailed preview of the album released so far.

What's in the trailer

The trailer centers on an animated, dystopian future scene featuring a giant alien baby statue. It's cut together with archival war footage from the mid-20th century, plus shots of starships exchanging fire.

Rather than functioning as a conventional album promo with tracklist or release details, the trailer builds Psyopera's visual world through a continuous stream of imagery — placing sci-fi, military archival footage and psychedelic animation side by side.

What we know about Psyopera so far

Psyopera is Grimes' next album. Public information about the project has so far been limited, and this trailer is the most substantial release of material related to it to date. Details on release date and tracklist have not been announced; per the source, fans should watch Grimes' official accounts for updates.
