GIFT Announce New Album 'Frenzy For The Thrill,' Share Lead Single 'Hand To The Flame'
New York band GIFT have announced a new album, Frenzy For The Thrill, and released the lead single, "Hand To The Flame," alongside the announcement. It's the band's first new album since 2024's Illuminator, which Stereogum named a Band To Watch for its blend of psych rock, shoegaze and electro-pop-rock textures.

The album is titled Frenzy For The Thrill. "Hand To The Flame" is the first track released from it, arriving at the same time as the announcement itself.
Before this news, GIFT had been extending the life of Illuminator through a run of remixes — so many, Stereogum joked the album had been "remixed by all 8 billion people on Earth."

GIFT is based in New York, and 2024's Illuminator remains the band's most talked-about release to date. The record layers psych rock's forward drive against shoegaze-style walls of sound and electro-pop-rock arrangements — the mix that earned the band Stereogum's Band To Watch distinction.
