Foo Fighters Drop Surprise Live EP 'Are Playing Where??? Vol. II,' Proceeds Go to Local Charities

Foo Fighters surprise-dropped a live EP called Are Playing Where??? Vol. II on Bandcamp on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The six tracks were recorded at two small, intimate shows: April 30 at Irving Plaza in New York City, and May 2 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. The EP is pay-what-you-want, and the band says all proceeds will go to local charities in both cities.

Part of an ongoing live series

This is the second installment in the series. Are Playing Where??? Vol. I came out in October 2025, drawn from small-venue shows the band played earlier that year around the US. Both EPs come from what the source describes as an ongoing intimate run of gigs by Foo Fighters this year.

The tracklist draws on three songs from the band's twelfth studio album, Your Favorite Toy, released in April 2026, alongside three older songs: "These Days," "My Hero," and "Aurora." NME gave Your Favorite Toy three and a half stars, describing it as "a return to unpolished, hard-hitting rock."

Foo Fighters are currently on a North American tour with Queens Of The Stone Age, which opened this week in Toronto. The band recently wrapped a European tour that included two nights at Anfield in Liverpool; NME gave that show four stars and quoted frontman Dave Grohl hinting at major UK plans for 2027.
