Ellie Goulding Sues Former Managers Over Undisclosed Live Nation Stake

British singer Ellie Goulding has filed a lawsuit against her former managers, Ben Mawson and Ed Millet, and against HNOE Limited, the parent company of their management firm TaP Management. The suit alleges breach of fiduciary duty. Court documents reviewed by Billboard show Goulding claims Mawson and Millet never disclosed that Live Nation held a controlling interest in the management company.
What the lawsuit alleges
According to the documents cited by Billboard, Goulding worked with the management company from 2018 to 2025. The 'Lights' singer alleges that during this period, Mawson and Millet pushed her toward business dealings with Live Nation.
The central issue in the filing is disclosure: whether managers are obligated to inform a client of their own firm's equity ties to Live Nation, and whether such ties could compromise their position when negotiating on the artist's behalf. Goulding states she was not informed of this ownership structure.
The ownership link between the agency and Live Nation
TaP Management is run jointly by Ben Mawson and Ed Millet, with HNOE Limited as its parent company. Goulding's filing states that Live Nation held a controlling stake in the management company, and that this arrangement was not disclosed to her during their working relationship.
What hasn't been confirmed yet
Neither Mawson, Millet, TaP Management, nor Live Nation have issued a public response to the lawsuit as of this report.
