Czarface Team Up With Tom Hardy — Rapping as "Frankie Pulitzer" — On New Single

Boston underground hip-hop group Czarface released a new single, "All It Takes Is One Bad Day," on August 5, 2026 (Wednesday), featuring actor Tom Hardy — rapping under the alias Frankie Pulitzer. The track comes from an upcoming joint album, Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer, marking yet another unexpected pairing for a group known for them.
Who's involved
Czarface is made up of underground veteran Esoteric, producer 7L, and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. Esoteric has a history of left-field collaborators — he worked with John Cena back when Cena still used rapping as a wrestling gimmick, and more recently joined Kurt Vile onstage in Boston for an impromptu cut into "Bassackwards" after Vile publicly name-checked Czarface in a Pitchfork "Perfect 10" video.
The upcoming album also features El-P, whose presence carries some backstory for longtime listeners: El-P took direct shots at 7L & Esoteric on Aesop Rock's 2003 track "We're Famous." This collaboration reads, to fans familiar with that history, as something of a reconciliation.
As for "Frankie Pulitzer" himself — that's British actor Tom Hardy, who has long been immersed in hip-hop culture off-screen and is now stepping into it under his own alias, both writing and performing on the record.
