Coachella 2027: Dua Lipa and Tame Impala Reportedly Headlining, BTS and Radiohead in the Mix

Trade publication Hits Daily Double reports that Dua Lipa and Tame Impala are the reported headliners for Coachella 2027, with Fred Again.. placed in the separately billed "Returning to the Desert" slot near the bottom of the poster. One remaining headline slot is reportedly still being negotiated, with BTS, SZA, Oasis and Radiohead all in the conversation. NME, citing the report, says SZA landing the spot is "way more likely" than Oasis or Radiohead. Coachella has not responded to the rumors, and no artist has been officially confirmed for 2027.

What's being reported

If accurate, this would be Dua Lipa's first Coachella appearance. Her latest album, 2024's Radical Optimism, features several tracks produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker; the two performed their collaboration "Houdini" together at London's O2 this past May.

Tame Impala has played Coachella four times previously — debuting in 2011, returning in 2013 and 2015, and headlining for the first time in 2019. The band's latest album, Deadbeat, came out in October 2025, with Parker pushing further into dance and electronic territory. They're reportedly set to tour the UK and Europe with Wet Leg in May-June 2027, right after the rumored Coachella dates.

Fred Again.. last appeared at the festival in 2023, closing out the second weekend alongside Skrillex and Four Tet — a set that came together after Frank Ocean dropped out of week two due to injury.

Where the four contenders stand

BTS would be nearing the end of their 2026-2027 world stadium tour around the time of the festival, with that leg reportedly wrapping in Manila on March 14 — less than a month before Coachella. The group returned this year with "ARIRANG." SZA, meanwhile, just performed in April, joining Justin Bieber for "Snooze" during his 2026 headline set.

Oasis, who wrapped their "Live '25" reunion tour last November, are widely expected back on stage in 2027, with recent chatter pointing to an extended Manchester residency and Knebworth dates — though nothing is officially scheduled. Noel Gallagher told radio on September 2 that "there's no football tournament" next summer, implying the band needs something to do.

As for Radiohead, guitarist Ed O'Brien said in March that the band plans to play 20 shows a year across different continents starting in 2027, continuing their 2025 reunion tour. The band also appeared at Coachella this year with the 75-minute audiovisual piece Motion Picture House: KID A MNESIA, built from visual work by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood.

Miley Cyrus, who reportedly declined an invitation, has previously said she lacks the "desire" for a full tour cycle given the difficulty of maintaining her mental health on the road. She has announced her tenth album, Bass Persuades, and two standalone shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October — no other touring has been announced.
