Body/Head and Jim O'Rourke Announce Two Nights in Tokyo
Experimental duo Body/Head — Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth) and guitarist Bill Nace — will play two nights at Tokyo's SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO on October 13 and 15, 2026, sharing the bill with a rare solo performance from Jim O'Rourke. Both dates fall under the live series "Scaffold #3."

The shows are presented by PARCO and produced by DOiT/CLUB QUATTRO. Both nights follow the same schedule: doors at 18:00, start at 19:00. Tickets are ¥10,000 in advance, tax included, standing/general admission with numbered entry order; a drink charge is separate.

About "Scaffold" and the two acts
"Scaffold" is a live series developed out of an ongoing dialogue between Jim O'Rourke and Eiko Ishibashi, with artists chosen jointly by the two of them and CLUB QUATTRO. The series is anchored at two live houses — SHIBUYA CLUB QUATTRO and UMEDA CLUB QUATTRO — with an emphasis on presenting performances directly within the venue space.
Body/Head has moved between drone, noise, and improvisation built around two guitars and voice since their 2013 debut album "Coming Apart." Jim O'Rourke's career spans Gastr del Sol, Loose Fur, his time with Sonic Youth, and production work on Wilco's "A Ghost Is Born," extending into contemporary music and film scoring; now based in Japan, this marks a rare solo performance.
